He used YouTube to post cover songs from popular artists like Brantley Gilbert, Bully Currington and Alan Jackson. His cover song of George Strait “Check Yes or No” received over 7 million views. He then released his first EP called “Closer” in 2015. It debuted on Top Country Albums chart at number 22 selling 3200 copies on its first week. A single from that EP titled “Don’t Go City On Me” reached number 43 on the Country Digital songs chart. His next EP titled “Chapter 1” debuted at number nine on US Billboard 200 and number 3 on the Top Country Albums chart selling more than 30,000 copies on its first week.
